I like this overview as it starts by showing Q4OS being setup on Virtualbox, handy for those who want to try it.

I agree, and once users can see how responsive it can be in a virtual machine compared to some of the more "bloated" distros they might consider trying it on bare metal too.

I wish we had a video for this site that walked thru installing from Virtualbox. I also wish we had videos for some of the install and other aspects of setting up Q4OS even though some of the recent overviews do a pretty good job of it.

I have to say it is one of the things I had in mind to start doing myself, but unfortunately I haven't had the time this year, I do hope to overhaul my site (probably after Christmas) to reflect a Scorpion setup, and will be expanding on other usage tutorials to guide users through anything they find difficult or not intuitive.

I was going to ask you if you were going to do videos or screenshot walkthroughs on your site.

I might have to go for a paid host though, so far I have been doing everything for free but there have been a few changes recently with my host and they will be closing my site for an hour a day (if I remember right) which is a bit of a PITA but I cant exactly ask for my money back so have already started looking for the most cost effective hosting and have been pleasantly surprised with the prices for what you get.

Im sure some of us could help cover the costs if you decide to do that.

Thanks, I will be looking into the best way to make it self sustaining and am pretty sure it will not take too much.
