Brand new to Q4OS so need lots of instruction, I looked on synaptic but there were so many choices I had no idea which one(s) to select. Thanks for any help you can offer.

You can start here http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/5-modern-l … downloads/

We would recommend the 'qbittorrent' as a starting point.

Transmission is pretty well the default in every distro I've come across.

I've found it works well and allows plenty of control.

Thanks for the help. I went with Transmission, liked that it was lightweight, tested it out and it worked great.

As for me, qBittorrent is the best! Transmission is not so functional, and also I don`t like its interface.

Before asking for help please read this topic: https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3502   If you have problems with WiFi network, try to install the Network Manager using Q4OS Software Centre.

Re: Recommendation for BitTorrent Client please

Just wanted to let q4osteam and Rademes know that I wasn't snubbing your suggestions. The computer I was asking for is an old Pentium 4 with fairly low specs by today's standards, so I'm trying to keep everything lean & mean on it.

Now, on my production machine I just installed Q4OS in a VM and went with qbittorrent on that one (based on the recommendations you two gave me). I've yet to try it but it looks like a nice fully featured program.  Thanks for the suggestions.
