I installed a KDE Plasma desktop environment with Q4OS free10, downloaded from the unofficial site.
The point is that the appearance is almost a perfect Windows 10 clone.
Here: https//xpq4.sourceforge.io
Unfortunately, sourceforge does not respond, I searched them in vain.
My only problem with it is that some of the translations in English are incomplete.
I found out that it uses .mo files for this.
However, I don't know where to look for the translation of "Menu".
It displays a very good Windows 10 Start menu like panel, and here the translations are missing, for example the "Recent Apps" text in English is at the top right of the panel. Then there are two button pages where you can switch between a categorical and alphabetical list of installed programs. These two buttons are not translated either. So you see "Categories" and "Alphabetical". And finally this power off button, if you hover the mouse over it, the text "Power" appears.
I want to translate these, but I don't know which .mo file belongs to this menu or panel.
I think all of these .mo files are in the usr/local/hu folder, but there are a lot of them.
I can make a .po file from the .mo file, then compile it with poedit and convert it back to a .mo file.
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

If you install Lookswitcher for Plasma application, you can switch to Win10 theme too. Please check this option and specify what would you want to translate. What language do you want to translate to ?

The installation included this "Lookswitcher for Plasma application"
Now I tried it with this solution, but the result is the same. While the subtitles are displayed correctly for the "Debonaire" look, they are not correct for the "Win10" look. Unfortunately they are displayed in English. And I want to use the Hungarian language.
If it helps I have attached 3 screenshots, marked in red frame the problematic part for me and I would like to translate them. I uploaded the pictures to my repository. You can access it here: https://pcegyszeregy.hu/letoltesek/translate.zip

Well, some strings are not translated yet into Hungarian. Would you want to make translation so contribute to Q4OS ? Please see https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3536

Hello,
I've seen this before. I downloaded this:
2. Alternatively, you can simply download the archive containing all the translation files here: https://github.com/q4osteam/q4os-i18n/a ... master.zip .
I have already translated half of them, but the problem I reported in my startup topic is not yet solved.
True, after the translation I converted it to .mo format and copied it to /usr/share/locales/hu/LC_MESSAGES.
And the relevant parts are now in Hungarian. So far, I have finished with these:
calamares-debian.mo
cpuqinfo.mo
desktop-profiler.mo
um_config.mo
welcome-screen.mo
As soon as the other six files are ready, I will send them to the e-mail address provided.
Are you saying these should include my problematic parts?

Thanks for helping with translations. If you want to translate tiledmenu, please contact upstream developers https://github.com/Zren/plasma-applet-tiledmenu

Or better, we have attached the translation template for tiledmenu, so you can translate it and ship via e-mail. We will include translations in the next Q4OS releases.

Unfortunately, sourceforge does not respond, I searched them in vain.
In this old post you can find another email address (maybe outdated) to reach XPQ4 devs.
The translation files you need might be in XPQ4 source file, which is said to be available by unpacking the .deb installer, but it seems there is nowhere to find this .deb (only .iso and .esh files).

I tested the xpq4@mail.com email address in that post and it appears to be active.

Thank you I have saved the newer address maybe you will need it sometime.
My current issue has been resolved in a sense.

Thank you very much.
I've finished the translations, I'll send them all by e-mail.
I found three titles I don't know which one will be the right one:
q4os@q4os.org, support and develop
I have sent to all of them
