How to remove stubborn desktop icons [SOLVED]

I'm not a big fan of desktop icons in the first place. I'm running either in TDE with @seb3773's wonderful Windows 10 theme-ing, or in KDE Plasma with its wonderful Windows 10 theme-ing, and in both, there are two desktop icons I can't seem to get rid of -- the "Trash" and the "This PC". IMHO, both are superfluous and useless, but I can't get rid of them! Help!

In TDE, right click on desktop, then click on configure desktop, then behavior, then device icon tab, then uncheck unwanted icons and confirm.

In KDE, right click desktop, click edit mode, then right click the icon and click remove or delete

Re: How to remove stubborn desktop icons [SOLVED]

@crosscourt -- thanks, that worked. I think I also got the same answer from @bin in the duplicate post that somehow happened (swear I didn't do it!!!).

Is there a convention in this forum for indicating a ticket being SOLVED?
