Hi,
Recently my youngest asked me to update their Windows 10 Pro install to Windows 11 Pro. In an attempt to get them to steer away from it I also installed Q4OS 5.4 on a separate drive (I know I should have installed 5.6!). Discover listed Steam but when I tried to install it it stated that there were no dependencies. I then noticed in the Welcome screen of installing applications that there was a 'flatpak' version, so I installed that. I could not check it's viability as I obviously did not have the youngest's credentials. They have reported back that it does not work. I am aware of an old posting about referring to Debian wiki on installing Steam - is this still the case? I wondered if there were any other packages I should install. I made Q4OS look and feel exactly like Windows 11 Pro (except Q4OS looks better with a floating panel - not capable in Windows 11!)
Sidenote: I loved the way Q4OS in Dolphin referred to the Windows 11 drive as a 'basic data partition'!!!

I would refer to the Debian wiki and in my case I installed it using Synaptic package manager and had no issues at all.

I know I made the mistake of installing 5.4 instead of latest, will it still get updated to 5.6 eventually?

If you haven't already done so, you can install "Update Manager" from the Software Center.

Whether you run Discovery or Synaptic package manager, doing so today will automatically update you to 5.6
