     Hallo# good morning Teams,

I have a problem with my Q4OS_. when I boot the computer!
First of all My System since July 2023: Gigabite GA-MA770-DS3 with AM2
Athlon 64 ; 4 GB RAM ; VGA card: MSI ATI Radeon HD5450 PCI Express
     screen Samsung 24" LCD  .

All this 'few hard' problems happened in the last week with updates of
Q4OS,      before the few updates, the System runs quit stable and well
     secure!:-)
The Video is even not able anymore to serve my Flight-Simulator.:-(

Inside the Welcome Screen I have set : !No 'Autologin'' so Autologin is
"now enabled"confirm enter !!!!  But just nothing is happens, as my PC
starting new, 4 times today before it works!
I simply cant not see the plain BIOS at the starting phase.
So, even that I can't change the start option to USB or the CD proceeds.

Now, I friendly ask You : what kind of things I should do for the next
steps?? Greetings and many thanks to all of You.

If you are not able to access BIOS, it has nothing to do with Q4OS. It seems to be rather a hardware issue.

Sorry if I haven't understood you well.

You are speaking of problems that happened after "updates", but you don't specify which updates. Did you update your system (via Update Manager, or sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade, or using another manner) or did you make a fresh install?

Also, it looks like you are confusing two totally different things: entering the BIOS setup and enabling/disabling autologin (to your desktop environment).

If you want to configure the order boot devices are selected, you need to enter the BIOS setup. For that you need to hit (repeatedly) a specific key at boot time. Which key depends on the bios installed on your hardware; it is often the "F2" or the "Del" key.
As Q4OSTeam wrote, this is totally unrelated to Q4OS.

BIOSes often offer the possibility to choose a boot device at boot time, without needing to reconfigure the order devices are selected. Again, which key depends on the bios installed on your hardware; it is often the "F12" key.

Re: Starting Q4OS with no BIOS screen to see?

It varies with systems but most commonly pressing Delete or F2 before boot should get you into your bios. Ifd the bios isnt showing at all, you most definitely have a problem with your motherboard. If the system is restarting a lot it also sounds like a hardware problem. Have you changed any hardware recently? Youre running a fairly old AM2 system.

Have you tried just booting the system without an OS and see if it will boot to bios.
Have you updated your bios before all this happened?
Unplug the system and hold the power button for 30 seconds, then remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes to clear the bios. Place the battery back in and plug in the system and see if it boots with bios screen.
You can also try to hit F12 at boot to set the boot device.
