no way to create swapfile after installation?

despite having util-linux installed, following debian wiki guide on creating swapfile, mkswap and swapon commands are not recognised.

You need to get root permissions:
$ sudo mkswap

oh, you have to use sudo specifically, not su. it works fine now.
