hello! first time linux user who currently daily drives macOS and windows. i recently picked up a panasonic cf-sv7rdavs as a school/work laptop and q4os seems great for what i specifically need from an os.
however, i'm having some issues downloading seamonkey (which i prefer most and would really like to use over alternatives if possible). i downloaded the newest 64x us-english release on trinity and followed the instructions on seamonkey's page, and what's discussed on the following post, but am still unable to run the executable.
post i cross referenced, advice by user bin: /viewtopic.php?id=3216
i've extracted the tar into a seamonkey folder, but am unable to run the seamonkey file.
copy-paste of my terminal:
ox@q4os-desktop:~/Downloads$ tar -xf seamonkey-2.53.18.1.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2
ox@q4os-desktop:~/Downloads$ cd seamonkey
ox@q4os-desktop:~/Downloads/seamonkey$ ./seamonkey
XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /home/ox/Downloads/seamonkey/libxul.so:
libdbus-glib-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Couldn't load XPCOM.
double-clicking the seamonkey file does nothing, and the terminal command does as shown.
is there a separate software/install i need to launch these kinds of files maybe?
i have successfully downloaded some other software on this machine already, but none of them required extracting a tar file.
if anyone has any tips or advice or something obvious i'm just overlooking i'd be super grateful!!

Unable to download SeaMonkey Internet Suite
Post title needs to be changed; it sounds like you've downloaded it but can't get it to run.

Apparently SeaMonkey cannot locate the above-named dependency, which is needed for it to run.

@ox
I tried the same as you and Seamonkey works (I'm using Q4OS 4.12 & Plasma). No error message.
The apparently missing file is in fact included in the .tar.bz2 archive and is by far the largest file. Maybe there was a problem when decompressing? You could test the archive integrity (md5sum or similar) and extract again or download again.
