Hang when booting first time after install

I am trying to install Q4OS 32 bit "Aquarium" on an Acer Aspire One 533 (Atom N475, 2 GB RAM, 260 HDD).  The computer had Windows 7 Starter installed and I wanted to keep that system, so on the Q4DOS install wizard I used the manual option to shrink the Windows 7 partition and use the available space to install Q4OS... installation process went normally to the point it instructed me to reboot and remove my installation media (an 8 GB USB drive).

Computer rebooted and loaded GRUB where Q4OS was the first option. I selected it and it started the linux booting process... but then screen went black and it got stuck there.

Any ideas of what could be wrong or how to proceed from this point?

TIA

Re: Hang when booting first time after install

It turns that it passes the black screen after a while and shows the booting log, but get stuck on loading the network adapter:
