hello guys!
i am a new user of q4os plasma latest
i come from linux mint
i'm doing some testing and i must say q4os is just the top
only one thing i still can't figure out: basically i wanted to install a .deb file and i used synaptic to install gdebi.
But gdebi is missing from the menu if i try to click to install the file in question!
on mint i used to use this method!
did i do something wrong?
should i install some additional package or in q4os the fact that the gdebi item missing is normal?

We can confirm, gdebi is not registered in Plasma menus, however you can do it manually. Optionally you can run gdebi from command line:
$ gdebi-gtk <packagename>
You can also install .deb files without Gdebi installation, just run in terminal:
$ appsetup2.exu <packagename>
or no gui way:
$ sudo apt install <packagename>

For what it's worth I'm running old stable Q4OS 3 Centaurus with Trinity Desktop Environment, and GDebi is in the System menu, minus the icon.
I'm using "Bourbon" style menu with "Categories" structure.
