Laptop display 1366x768
External display normally 1920x1080 (projector) but it will run down to 640x480
Objective - Laptop and Projector to both run at 1366 x 768 and show exactly the same screens over HDMI connector.
With KDE Plasma it is easy to use Unify Output so that the projector and laptop show exactly the same - at 1366x768. One click and it's done. (well - 3 actually).
With TDE this seems to be a veritable minefield which I have so far been unable to traverse. I'm not sure if the answer lies buried in the Configure Displays and Profiles but the result is always some technicolour nightmare in the on one or both.
Tinkering with Resize and Rotate doesn't help.
Hardware doesn't make any difference, integral display or extra chip doesn't cut it. It might have been possible with the older Nvidia drivers (Nvidia GE FORCE 9600M GT) but those don't seem to be around any more.
Has anyone been able to make this scenario work successfully by any chance please?
Why? Because that is what is needed for a regular task.
I'd LIKE to be able to do this with Trinity, but if it's a no go then I guess it'll have to be Plasma .....
