Any way to make Q4os a semi-rolling release

I think I know the answer, but I just want confirmation... and please forgive me if it is a dumb question (I'm a newbie)  Is there any way to make Q4os a semi-rolling release based on testing repositories?  My goal is not to have to do a fresh install every 5 years when Debian ceases to support Jessie, Buster, etc.

The only possibility is to perform upgrades between major versions, however we don't recommend that. A clean fresh installation and backups restore would be cleaner and easier.
