(Solved) contrib and non-free /etc/apt/sources.list?
I noticed that the /etc/apt/sources.list is empty, soooo are contrib and non-free already implemented in what ever file gets parced to determine which repos to download files from?

You need to look into the /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ directory.
