Questions about text-based browsers

Are there any text-based browsers that:

* Don't require SSE / SSE2?
Edit: (SSE = Pentium 3; SSE2 = Pentium 4 and newer)

and

* Will access most websites without certificate issues?

I do not know about the specific requirements, but personally I use w3m as a text based browser. It runs well in the terminal. It does ssl connections so you can visit and interact with secure sites. There is an add on available which allows one to load images. Overall it works fairly well and is available via Synaptic in Debian and Q4OS.

I have it installed on an HP Pavillion DV2000, and old XP class home media machine so some dual core Athalon Processor. It also works fine under Q4OS on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with 1GB of RAM. It works on a Thinkpad X220, i5, 8GB RAM under any Linux. If you install HomeBrew you can run it on any Mac that can run OS X, including PPC processors. w3m is about a 2MB download.

Not sure about those requirements but I use links which is text mode only and links2 which has a graphical mode - GUI - able to display images.They run pretty well on a hp notebook with 2GB RAM  and an  AMD E-300 APU. For more info go here http://links.twibright.com/features.php
