Sound issue after kernel update.

The system today updated the kernel to 5.6.7 and the sound disappeared. I had to roll back to the previous state with the kernel 5.5.0.
I hope that the developers patch this bug.

On this pc I use
System:
   Kernel: 5.5.0-2-amd64 x86_64 bits: 64
  Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.17.5 Distro: Q4OS 4.0.0-n1

Graphics:
Device-1: NVIDIA GK208B [GeForce GT 730] driver: nouveau v: kernel
  Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.8 driver: modesetting unloaded: fbdev,vesa
  resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz
  OpenGL: renderer: NV106 v: 4.3 Mesa 19.3.3
Audio:
  Device-1: Intel 82801I HD Audio driver: snd_hda_intel
  Device-2: NVIDIA GK208 HDMI/DP Audio driver: snd_hda_intel
  Sound Server: ALSA v: k5.5.0-2-amd64

I think this is because of nVidia, this is the reason for this.

Re: Sound issue after kernel update.

If you have the latest update performed, the kernel version should be 5.6.0-1 for Q4OS Gemini / Debian Bullseye

Re: Sound issue after kernel update.

Yes, that is right.
But I rolled back to the previous version, where there is sound.
Today there were updates again and I installed and checked - the result is the same, there is no sound.

Re: Sound issue after kernel update.

Unfortunately, this bug is hardware and Debian upstream specific, we are not able to perform testing on the hardware specified. We will try to find a way to get the hardware for testing, however it could take a while. Anyway, you could meanwhile submit a bug report at the Debian upstream https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting
