How to set up wireless connection after Trinity 32-bit install

Hello, I'm a q4os newbie.

I downloaded q4os-3.10-i386-instcd.r2.iso  and created a bootable USB using RUFUS.
I successfully installed q4, booted it to get the desktop, and ran the suggested 'profile' to select Trinity only

But I could not figure out how to set up a wireless connection.
I used the q4 network app and did  'add network' wireless,  BUT there was no wireless scanning to show me a list of potential access points to connect to...q4 is the first distro I've used that doesn't allow one to easily connect to a wireless access point.

Any help on this would be appreciated

Just click on the network manager icon you see on bottom right in the system tray and select Wireless network you want to connect to.
