Hello
Could anyone help?
Would wish to install MT 4 forex trading terminal on OS Scorpion
Situation is a bit strange
This is easy and there is a thing which I did before
Installed MT 4 terminal on windows 7 and just copied file with metatrader
Then placed it in usb memory stick where Q4OS runs from
All functioned fine
But now I want terminal from other broker
My 7 is out of order now and everyone around me has 10
Installed MT 4 on 10 of my neibour and .........did not find file with metatrader in program files folder where it should be
MT 4 runs but where is the file?
Searched ewerywhere but to no avail
MT 4 has new installer now which does not ask where to place terminal during installation prosess
This led me to idea to install MT 4 on Q4OS directly
For ubuntu this way is quite straitforward and described on many sites
But I love Q4OS because of stability and almost preinstalled WINE
Searched forums and found many years old post that it was possible
One just has to install 2 files in /home/user/ file /home/user/.wine/drive_c/
mfc42.dll in windows/system32/, and windings.ttf in windows/fonts/
Is it realy possible and how to do it correctly for pure debian step by step?
If not then how to do it in some other way ?
Excuse linux newbie for naive questions
Your advice will be much appeciated
Regards

If you have used the Q4OS Wine installer then you should have Winetricks installed.
Open Konsole/Terminal and
winetricks list-all | grep mfc42.dll
Provided it shows mfc42.dll in the listing then
winetricks mfc42.dll
should do the trick
wingding.tff should be installable via the same process - probably listed under core fonts. You may find you already have it on your machine - just search for wingding.ttf and copy it to the location specified above.
