Probably this issue is connected with issue, described in section 3 from this topic.
When I try to change keyboard combination for specific application, the utility starts to behave abnormally, and finally returns error and my PC hangs completely. I have to perform hard restart, because system stops responding.

This bug was reported in 2018-08-01 22:16 CDT, a year passed, and it still has not been fixed.

Yup - but in fairness this is TDE bug, not a Q4OS bug.

Wasn't fixed in Trinity 14.1.x when last I checked a few weeks back either.

You can actually hardwire the shortcuts by editing the relevant files once you've worked out the syntax - it's a bit clumsy but does work.

I am not speaking about q4osteam. Q4OSTeam does very good job, and try to fix bugs very fast. The truth is - Q4OS quality and stability depends also on Debian and TDE teams. And that can cause some problems...

We are pretty sure, TDE developers are doing their best, as we are. A possibility Q4OS users could do to gain a focus on a bug by TDE developers, is just adding comments to the TDE bug-report in question directly at the TDE site.

Here is written, that bug has already been fixed.
This bug has been fixed in commits 8ea3d4dd (tdelibs) and f0869718 (tqt3) in R14.1.0-dev. Those commits will be backported to R14.0.9 as soon as the window opens.

Is it possible to update to Trinity R14.0.9 on Q4OS Centaurus? In 14.0.9 some other bugs also were fixed.
And what is more important: Will Q4OS Centaurus be released with TDE R14.0.9? I don't see any common sense to stay on buggy R14.0.6 anymore.
Please, do not think, that I ask latest Trinity just because I want "Latest and Greatest". I ask latest Trinity, because I do not want to have old bugs on my system. I have installed Centaurus 5 days ago with big hope, that I will be able to use Q4OS without old bugs, that forced me to switch back to Linux Mint in 2019.

I can confirm that this keyboard shortcut bug is fixed in Trinity 14.09.

Sadly I would not expect to see anything new in Centaurus. Gemini runs 14.10 which is still in development.

Dull though it may sound you can actually set your shortcuts direct in the config file. Alternatively run Gemini off a USB or vm, set the shortcuts and copy the config file back to Centaurus.

Upgrading Trinity version in Q4OS sounds quite tempting, but it would likely have a significant consequences and huge impact on current stable systems. As we prefer Debian development model, so stability over innovation in stable versions, it would require extensive testing and treating all possible consequences emerging from such an upgrade. Unfortunately, we are a small team, we don't have resources enough to provide testing and fixing all the possible consequences. We couldn't guarantee smooth upgrade for current Q4OS Trinity users.

That is bad! I have been waiting a fix for this bug since August 2019! I hope you will change your mind, and Centaurus with TDE R14.0.9 will be released. Using Gemini is not possible because it is unstable and it has CUPS 2.3, which is incompatible with my printer drivers. I do not want to buy three new printers while the old ones work well.
