Hi everyone and the Q4OS team,
on Centaurus-KDE, I have updates available in synaptic but the updater does not fire and does not tell me anything. I installed it with the sofware center.
Have a lovely day everybody

Is this installation from the "current stable" image or was it installed when Centaurus was in "testing"?
If it was from a "testing" installation it could be that you need to confirm the change in the Debian repositories, in that case you should run
sudo apt update
in a terminal (konsole) and accept the changes to the Debian repositories, then you should be able to use your normal upgrade procedures.
If it is a fresh installation from the "Stable Centaurus" image then it might be a different problem.

Hi and thank you for your reply.
This is a new installation from the stable iso. I deleted and reinstalled the updater, it detected the updates. I will see on the next if he reacts or not.
Have a good day

Q4OS updater would check updates and start a notification every 24 hours. So, it could take up to 24 hours (at maximum) the notification icon is shown. You can see updates in Synaptic in the meanwhile.
In KDE session the Q4OS updater is not active, a user is notified by the "Discover" application.

Hello Team and thank you for the answer. Indeed I am under KDE, I had not tested this variant of Q4OS, which explains that updater is silent. But for Discover I have not had anything either.
To update, we can still go through synaptic under KDE?
Under KDE it happens that some programs do not appear in the menu after installation via synaptic (ex Gdebi). A QT-GTK problem?
Have a lovely day everybody
EDIT : I can not find "Discover", currently in Synaptic I can update q4os-desktop but I have no notification on the desktop or in the notifications of kde

The package name is "plasma-discover". It's installed automatically by the Desktop profiler along with the "full profile".

@aldrik
Now, we can see and reproduce the issue. We will enable Q4OS updater in Plasma after a reboot, in case the Discover is not active, or installed. The issue should be fixed in the next Q4OS 3 revision. Thanks for reporting.

The issue is now fixed. You only need to upgrade Q4OS from repositories, or do a new installation.

Good news and know which Q4OS updater on Plasma available.
For novice users this tool is very important.
