Hi. I was trying to install the tor browser through a tutorial and I do not know what I did wrong and now I can not update ...
terminal :
alumno@q4os-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get update
E: No se pudo encontrar el método /usr/lib/apt/methods/https.
N: ¿Está instalado el paquete apt-transport-https?
alumno@q4os-desktop:~$

Hi! Have you changed your sources lists in any way?
apt-get is complaining about not having "apt-transport-https" package installed because somewhere on your sources lists files it is setup a repository access with "https" secure transport. You may try to install the required package and see if resolves it.
$ sudo apt install apt-transport-https

Just write on terminal (without the $):
$ sudo apt install apt-transport-https

Can you update first? Write on terminal (without the $):
$ sudo apt update
Also please report what is the result of the command (always without the $):
$ qrepolist

Also, according to the tutorial you followed you edited the /etc/apt/sources.list with the lines:
deb https://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org stretch main
deb-src https://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org stretch main
You must comment out these lines (to disable them), edit and save so that results:
# deb https://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org stretch main
# deb-src https://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org stretch main
Then you should be able to update and install (always without the $):
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install apt-transport-https
If you succeed then you can enable (remove the comment preceding "#") those lines on /etc/apt/sources.list, edit and save so that results:
deb https://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org stretch main
deb-src https://deb.torproject.org/torproject.org stretch main

@mrflavius
What version of Q4OS do you use ? Apt-transport-https is a hard dependency of q4os-desktop for Scorpion, so it couldn't be easily removed from system.

You are using Q4OS 1 Orion old-stable based on Debian Jessie, as we can see from the log posted above. We can highly recommend you to use Q4OS 2 Scorpion, the current stable version, if possible.

1-Is there any way to update it or should I do a new installation? (from scratch)
2-so I put in my previous post the problem is solved, right?
Offline
1. You need to perform a new installation.
2. It is not solved completely. You need to remove "siduction" and "jessie-backports" repositories from your sources.list, as they are not supported anymore. Once removed do full system upgrade in terminal:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
and post back a result.

I do not know how to remove the repositories ...
(I do not intend to use a tutorial on the web again and ruin everything again,)

Just edit related files in /etc/sources.list.d/*.list and follow the advice by Jotapesse from here https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.ph … 382#p15382 and comment out repositories "siduction" and "jessie-backports"

1-I've erased everything related to Tor.
2-repositories "siduction" and "jessie-backports" : I have deleted everything related to these repositories but I still see an error after the update.

If you use the package inxi you could issue the command
inxi -r
which will give you something similar to this...
Repos: Active apt sources in file: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/10_q4os.list
deb http://q4os.org/q4repo q4os-2-0-cn main
Active apt sources in file: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/12_qtde.list
deb http://q4os.org/qtderepo stretch main
Active apt sources in file: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/20_debian.list
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stretch main contrib non-free
deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security/ stretch/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stretch-updates main contrib non-free

Active apt sources in file: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-chrome.list
deb [arch=amd64] http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main
This tells you which repositories are active and the file that contains them, from there it will be easier to remove (or comment out) the offending entries.
