There are a many occasions where assisting forum members requires them to run inxi and paste the results back in the forum for information.
I came across this script in my travels - it runs inxi -Fxrz and puts the result on the clipboard inside a CODE pair for easier reading. All the user has to do is right click and paste into the forum page.
It requires inxi and xsel to run.
Would it be useful to have something like this as a standard part of the installation so that we can be sure of getting the required info easily and before too much back and forth discussion?
The file is currently set to non-executable.

http://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2680 is a classic example of why we need inxi as part of the default install.
User cannot get online - we need to know details of wifi card - which could be one of many.
If inxi had been there already it would be so much easier to help.

I think this is a very good suggestion, and as there is not a large footprint with this it could be easily incorporated to the live images. i would certainly find it useful in many circumstances.

Well, we will consider to include inxi as a part of the live media and the installation core.
