There is an issue with Digikam in Plasma.
If you select an image and use the editor to adjust an image it seems to work OK.
However, if you then try to edit another all you get is a blank box
If you right click in the box you can then select to view the menu bar - but that's it.
This issue looks to have arisen some time in mid 2018. It has been reported https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395875 amongst others
This thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=239272 seems to implicate Digikam as part of the issue - Plasma is still on 5.9.0 whereas 5.9.2 seems to be part of the fix.
Qt 5.11.1 was also mentioned though Centaurus seems to be using Qt 5.11.3.
I don't think there's much that can be done here - just flagging it in case anyone else has encountered it.

Ok, anyone is welcome to report any related findings here.

In Centaurus 3.6, Digikam crashes when dragging and dropping images onto it and crashes when opening photos from inside any album created in Digikam.

Are you using Digikam or Digikam-trinity ?

The digikam-trinity, the same Digikam that is installed when you use the software center to install a full suite of applications.

It was frustrating because all my client wanted to do was crop an image but none of the programs we tried worked, even Gwenview. Ended up using Pixlr in the end.

Yes, we will investigate that, and possibly report a digikam-trinity bug at the TDE bug tracker.

We are not able to reproduce the issue, opening as well as dragging photos into Digikam trinity works fine here. It would be helpful, if you could specify some more detailed instructions, how to induce a crash for us to be able to reliably reproduce it, investigate and make a bug report.
