Q4OS only allows letters and numbers in user account passwords. Why aren't special characters allowed? This makes accounts very insecure.

This is due to Trinity 14.0.5 desktop limitations. It's resolved in the upcoming Q4OS 3 Centaurus, a testing at the moment, version.

Totally disagree with this!
Password strength is not determined by the presence or absence of special characters in it. An extremely strong password can be created using only capital letters, lowercase letters and numbers. You only have to make password at least 14 characters long.
Check this site: http://www.passwordmeter.com/
Or this: https://howsecureismypassword.net/
Or this: https://2ip.ru/passcheck/
For example, the password RGhUJ77PnkkD which does not contain any special characters and has 12 characters length is considered as Very Strong in the first password strength meter, and according to second password strength meter It would take a computer about 3 thousand years to crack your password. The same result gives the third password strength meter.
Also, it is much harder to memorize the password, which contains special characters.

Unfortunately, your password is vulnerable to Dictionary attack.
Password should consist of mixed characters.
