Gnome desktop

I am running Q40S Plasma.

What will happen if I install Gnome desktop from Synaptic Package Manager?

Re: Gnome desktop

I think the best way to install gnome is from the desktop profiler, installing from synaptic would probably not have the desired effect.

Re: Gnome desktop

I actually love KDE. It looks and works great.

It's just that I can't find any music player that works on my system, like Rhythmbox worked on my previous Ubuntu 14 installation.

I noticed that programs are chosen to fit a particular desktop environment, to work together well.

The previous environment I used was Gnome based and all the programs worked well, from document viewer, image viewer and music player, as well as browser just worked.
