It seems to be quite a popular cheap laptop in my country at the moment, so I'm wondering...

It would appear to be a nice budget laptop, but I would guess the WiFi and bluetooth would be the biggest hurdle you would have to overcome, it has an ac wifi card and bluetooth (probably a combined card) which can sometimes be a little tricky to set up especially as it has no ethernet port as a backup.
I would say if you are going to get one then keep Windows 10 on it and dual boot, at least until you are sure you can get everything setup correctly with Linux.
I haven't had any personal experience of this machine so my comments are pretty generic, but I see no reason (except 0.3M webcam) not to go with it.
