Numlock

Even though I turn NUMLOCK off before booting,

Booting the live USB turns it back on right away.

This messes up laptops without additional number pads.

Re: Numlock

NUMLOCK on is the default setting in Q4OS - you have to switch it off either in the Q4OS settings or with the relevant keys on your laptop.

Yes it is daft, this topic has been raised before but this is how it is shipped I'm afraid.

Re: Numlock

Well, if it is a configuration setting it can be managed.

On the subject of configuration I want to install Q4OS
on real hardware in it's own partition.

I may sound like a fanatic but I want to evaluate
each and every last configuration setting there is
and understand them and change the one's I think
necessary.

Is there sufficient documentation to do this, remember
I am a Linux NOOB. Now if you want to discuss DOS
command-line feel free to ask.

Re: Numlock

The first step with Q4OS is to open Konsole (terminal) and do

sudo kcmodules --unlock

Then you can go to settings and configure the numlock to your preference. The above will also give you access to all the other settings for Trinity.
