Like many applications with a linux port this has a basic free version or you can pay for a full version.
https://code-industry.net/free-pdf-editor/
There are 3 download options.
The Ubuntu 32 bit 12-14 i386 will install under Orion with the addition of a hundred plus i386 files.
The Ubuntu 64 bit 12-14 package is a static binary and works without any additional files under Orion
The Ubuntu 64 bit 14-18 package will not install in Orion as it requires some qt5 libs - it may works with Scorpion
My needs are fairly simple in terms of sanitizing pdf files of personal data before making them available for public download and it works a treat - definitely nicer to use than Libreoffice which has been given the boot!

I just installed it and it certainly seems like it will fit my need more than adequately too! Nice find bin and thanks for posting it, the last time I searched for a Linux pdf editor I couldn't find anything that actually worked like I wanted it to.

Beware ................
The version 5.2.02 now prints a watermark "Created by Master PDF Editor" diagonally across the page when the previous (4.xx) version did not.
If you want to remove the watermark......pay up !

Seems there's some important features missing from the Master PDF Editor.
- No owner password protection to prevent further changes to PDF file/s
- No user password to open a PDF
- Custom stamps are very basic and clunky. Difficult to add your personal signature as a stamp.
There's sure to be other issues. I only just got started, but already decided to look for better alternative product.
YMMV

That's funny - I just click File>Properties>Security>Password Encryption to set a password that has to be used to open the file.
Not sure what your problem is with Stamps - seems fine to me
Have you got your Qt settings configured properly???

Curious.
Just installed my old 4.389 qt5 version and it's OK on Scorpion. Not tried the latest for obvious reasons

Okular works the best on my pc and it looks great too.

It works well but it's too complicated for me. I'm so bad at pdf editing so I'm looking for something more user-friendly.
