Yep - exactly the same message here.
I really like Centaurus 3.1, but this error is annoying.
Is there any way around it ?
Cheers,
Phil
PS. Could it be related to /etc/q4os_version ?
Offline
It will be related to the /etc/q4os_version as the codecs might not have been tested and adjusted (if required) for the testing version, I'm sure the devs will be working on it when time/resources permit.
It is possible to get many of the codecs by adding the deb-multimedia repository and manually installing them but that may (or may not) give some issues.
Just remember though Q4OS Centaurus (testing version) is in it's early days and using it is quite likely to require some fixing along the way, so it's not really recommended for production use or for new Linux users, but if you are happy to test it any feedback is likely to be gratefully received by the dev team.

Exactly.

Hi,
Yes, sorry, of course Centaurus is in testing, and it is precisely these issues that need bringing to attention.
I am not using Centaurus as a 'production' system, but I really do like it.
Looking forward to the final, and if I come across any issues I will of course report them.
Many thanks to the Q4OS team, and to Dai_trying.!
Regards,
Phil
