I was wondering if it would be possible to get a live-cd (64 bit would be my preference) with the Debonaire theme running, I think this would be a lot more appealing to other users that I show the system to and could possibly increase the user-base. I do understand that this would increase the image size quite considerably and am not expecting it to be rolled out as a "normal" image but if one could be made available (as experimental maybe) I for one would be able to put it to good use.

Yes, we will consider to compile a testing image, it could be available in a few days.

Most people Ive shown Q4OS to prefer Debonaire but we need to advertise we have a new live image with it as it could drive more users and interest from other entities.

I'd agree, while IMO Debonaire still does need work, it's a much more modern look than any of the other avaiable themes.

I use the KDE_classic theme myself, small ,compact and brings back memories of KDE 3.5, but general reactions in various forums and some reviews comment on the dated OS look.
If Debonaire can be cleaned up and promoted who knows.

I suggested it as I do think new users would find it more appealing as I have read many articles about the "dated look" and "retro desktop" etc... and I think it certainly gives a more "modern" look to the desktop which I certainly prefer and with some tweaking under the hood I am sure it will be extremely popular.
I will be using it to show would be converts and get their reactions, also I would be interested to see if they prefer it to the standard desktop like I do.
I do feel it will be the most popular desktop once it is made part of the standard themes (when it becomes "stable").

I install lookswitcher and let people look thru the choices so they can get an idea of what might suit them.
Out of hundreds of installs the default theme is still the most popular with Debonaire coming up fast and the KDE_classic in third.
It depends on what youre last experience was with an OS as to what reaction youll have with Q4OS. Older users use to Windows love the default Q4OS but younger users whove used newer versions of Windows seem to gravitate towards Debonaire. Really want to make sure that people realize they have many choices available thru Lookswitcher and can customize them as they like. I used KDE_classic, but ive got transparency on and use other colors and background to make it look much newer.
