Hi
According to the Distrowatch blurb, Scorpion has Trinity 14.05.
The Trinity site shows 14.04 as current version.
Seems a little odd?

TDE 14.0.5 is received from the TDE 'Preliminary stable builds', see https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/Prelimi … ble_Builds
We have tested 14.0.5 thoroughly and considered it to be stable enough to release it within Q4OS.

Scorpion 2.4 so far is excellent no issues but still early.

Is it being rolled out to Orion - I have a niggle with TDENetwork dropping connection and I see they report some work on that component in the development area.

We have tested all TDE core components thoroughly. 'Tdenetworkmanager' passed our QA, and worked even better then within Orion. There are a few bugs fixed, although there could be some other hidden bugs remaining, one never knows.

Sorry, perhaps my question was not phrased properly.
I'm running Orion - Scorpion will not run as the kernel is too late for my machine - OK up to the low 4.xx but not later.
As far as I can tell I'm still on Trinity 14.04 - all my Trinity packages in Synaptic show as x1404
Are you going to roll 14.05 out to Orion?

Not yet, a full upgrade will not be performed in the next few months definitely. More probably, we could backport a few particular, most important fixes from 14.0.5 to Orion's 14.0.4.

Ive already installed 2.4 on a number of systems and its doing very well. Very stable, quick, no setup issues at all and
given the variety of hardware Im impressed.
There certainly will be some older systems that will have problems no doubt and Ill post back as I do more installs.
