Dim Display at Startup

After the most recent update/upgrade the display on my laptop stays dim for roughly 3 minutes after startup even while plugged in. It slowly brightens up then is fine. Any ideas?

Re: Dim Display at Startup

The most obvious place to start would be TDEPowersave - this allows you to determine which power management policy is applied and to configure those.

I must admit I have not come across one that does what you describe, but that's where I'd start anyway. make sure you're on Performance Setting and take a look at Brightness and Autodim - it may be that DPMS is causing problems - you haven't given much inof about your hardware, version of Q4OS so it's hard to be specific.

Install inxi and run inxi -F Then copy and paste the results so we can see what we're dealing with please.
