I am not a Linux-adept, but for a few years I am using Linux.
To enhance the safety of my system, I am using to boot my computer and migrated all the tasks to different virtual machines.
E.g., one VM only for emails, one only for web browsing etc.
My problem is that I do not know what do I need for my boot machine and what is needed fpor the VMs, as I like to minimize the overhead and background processes.
Can your installer be modified to include only the start-up essentials and the ability to install updates and the software for the virtual machines?
Which of the three installation modi is most suitable for my intentions?

The fresh Q4OS installation is just minimal, it cannot be stripped more. After the installation you can use the 'Desktop Profiler' to choose from 3 predefined profiles to be installed. We would recommend you to install the 'Basic' profile, for more detailed profile description please run the Profiler application, and then install needed applications, please see http://www.q4os.org/dqa006.html
