Install grub on sda1

Hi
I need to install grub on sda1 and not sda(not both either). It has to do with testing an SD card adapter. I already succeeded in a couple of distros but my aim is Q4OS. Problem is I cannot interrupt graphical install and it always installs grub in sda. I know it is not suggested to install grub in partitions but I need to for testing reasons.
Some info: I am installing Q4OS-3.12-i386 on an IBM T43.
I am using a 32 Gb SD card.
sda1 is 29.7 Gb ext2 bootable(it has to be ext2)
sda2 is 2 Gb swap
If grub is in sda I cannot reboot. To make it short the reason probably lies in a controller beyond my knowledge and will.
Any help to install grub in sda1 only will be appreciated!

Re: Install grub on sda1

Well reading in an external website proposed in documentation I was thinking of using live usb instead of install usb but I see there isn't one for Centaurus. Maybe 32 bit machines are staying behind.

Re: Install grub on sda1

All right I finally installed Scorpion from a live usb.
In case someone is interested I installed on an SD card in one of those Sintechi FC1307A SD to IDE adapters used in an old T43 IBM laptop.
See my post as how.
Everything looks fine. Not recommended for any heavy use though, system and/or card may break anytime.
I hope I find some way to upgrade till October 2022 smile
Thank you all for your efforts.
