keyboard shortcuts for commenting lines don't work

Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life! smile

I've noticed that keyboard shortcuts for commenting lines in Kate(Ctrl + d) as well as in nano (Alt + 3) don't work in Gemini, they do in Centaurus though.
System's info:

System: Kernel: 5.10.0-4-amd64 x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.20.5 Distro: Q4OS 4.3.2-n1
Type: Laptop System: Hewlett-Packard product: HP 2000 Notebook PC

# KEYBOARD CONFIGURATION FILE

# Consult the keyboard(5) manual page.

XKBMODEL="pc105"
XKBLAYOUT="es,us"
XKBVARIANT=""
XKBOPTIONS="grp:alt_space_toggle"

BACKSPACE="guess"

Re: keyboard shortcuts for commenting lines don't work

Installing the pkg xserver-xorg-input-synaptics solved the issue with nano but not with kate, the shortcut still doesn't work. Could be a kate bug?

EDIT: All is good. Turns out this only works with files ending in .sh, .py and maybe other script extensions but not in some txt.conf file, and I didn't know that, till now. smile
