Trinity desktop

I updated  desktop version with Trinity R14.0.9 packages. The system works stably. What do your think about this update?

Re: Trinity desktop

Unfortunately, it's a bad idea. Q4OS and vanilla TDE repositories are not compatible. You would probably miss Q4OS specific features, even you could end up with an unstable system or encounter unexpected errors.

Re: Trinity desktop

But as the version, the other is more recent 14.09. Why is q4os not updating to the latest version?

Re: Trinity desktop

We prefer the Debian development model to keep the core system as immutable as possible. As released, the stable Q4OS version receives security fixes and updates only, It results in a reliable and stable system, that users can always rely on.

Re: Trinity desktop

New version of Trinity desktop 14.0.10 is ready for installation using the Desktop profiler tool. But  q4os-4.2-x64-testing.r1.iso .  When will we access this update?

Re: Trinity desktop

Q4OS 3 Centaurus will keep TDE 14.0.6 version, as we focus on stability for the stable Q4OS releases. Q4OS 4 Gemini should become stable in a few months.
