Absolutly, sorry for no recent updates, but I can confirm it works very good on two Rpi5 boards (my own and one owned by one friend), will take a look at the revision.

It works perfectly on 2 rpi 4 boards, an a Rpi400.
I even tried it on a Rpi3b+, it works ! (although it's a bit slow).

I'm working on a better video about q4os on Raspberry, with a video capture device, much better quality

We have compiled new testing Q4OS image "q4os-5.4-rpi.r3.1-testing1.img.xz" with updated kernel, drivers and software, download https://sourceforge.net/projects/q4os/files/testing/ . We welcome any feedback on testing this image.

I will try this over the next day or so and get back to you.
I am unable to do it through the Q4OS Imager though, it is an exe and I only use arm based SBCs.
I will try using the other method described.
One question: On Sorceforce it states "It deploys Plasma, optionally Trinity, as desktop environment on top of Debian Linux rock stable base."
Last time, it only seemed to offer Trinity as an option? I would prefer Plasma if that is possible?

No, it's not .exe only, see https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4444 . You can install q4os-imager from repositories on any i386/x64 Q4OS machine or on Q4OS RaspberryPi system. You can also boot Q4OS live media on any x86 machine and just use the imager to write the SD card.

Q4OS for Rpi edition defaults to the Trinity desktop environment. You can easily install Plasma alongside Trinity DE using Desktop profiler tool https://www.q4os.org/dqa016.html#dsknv Subsequently it's possible to uninstall Trinity and keep Plasma the only one.

Testing it now, boots properly and works very well on a pi4. (youtube 1080p videos are working way better with chromium, don't know why, but it's cool). I'm testing it on a pi4 board , can't tell the revision because the heatsink is masking the serial number and it's difficult to remove it... but I will test tomorrow on a pi5.

Thanks, we'll wait for the Pi-5 test. We only need to know if it properly boots into TDM login manager and the board revision. You can find that information running command:

Test done. on a pi5:
- It boots as expected like the pi4 yesterday into TDM login manager, everything seems to work ok.
- Board revision: c04170 / Pi5 Model B rev 1.0

I observed a little 'bug', but it's not related to the Pi5, it was the same with the pi4 too: can't establish wifi connection on installation screens, when it propose to connect to a wifi network, (password error but right password entered). I just had to skip this part and establish connection from NetworkManager afterward, it connects ok then.

Apart that, everything seems to run very well, I'm testing a bit right now, will report if any problems.

Well the board revision c04170 versus d04170 by @Crowman . So they are the same boards with 4GB respectively 8GB of RAM, see

The other difference may be in the display device.

If someone owns Pi-5 board with 8GB RAM, it would be highly helpful to confirm, if it boots Q4OS properly or not.

Did you use TDE network applet in the systray bottom right, or some other tool to connect wifi network ? Does TDE network applet in systray work for you ?

Yes, I used the TDE network applet in the systray bottom right after 'installation' dialogs to connect to wifi network. It works without problems.
The problem is only when you're asked to establish a connection (at first run) and enter a password: it can't connect even with numerous attempts... But if we skip this part and connect afterward, everything is okay.
One thing that comes to my mind is the problem maybe is coming from the router I'm using (a very specific configuration, but never encountered problems before) , but can't see why... And I haven't had this bug with previous images I tested. Do you experiment this symptom too ?

No we are not able to reproduce that, however the startup wifi connection procedure did undergo some changes recently for all Q4OS architectures. So, it could be some kind of timeout problem or so. Anyway it needs investigating, we will do. You could also try to establish connection, if you run in terminal:
$ tdewificonnect
and post back a result.

USB 3 Drive 32 GB / 64 GB

I used the method at https://www.q4os.org/dqa010.html as you suggested on the previous page.

After downloading the compressed file, uncompress it to get the .img image file for writing to your SD card. With the image file you need to use an image writing tool to install it on your SD card."

I thank you for all your help on this, but unfortunately, I can't solve it.
I am still going to be using Q4OS, I swear by it, but it is now going to be through an AMD based SBC (Trigkey).
I have had to leave the ARM based one.

Why didn't you use Q4OS imager, the preferred and easiest way to create Q4OS Rpi SD card ?

Just install q4os-imager and burn https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4444

We are unable to reproduce and investigate the issue unless you provide the detailed procedure you followed. Please post the step by step process of creating a bootable SD card so we can try the same. It would also be helpful to know the manufacturer and type of the SD card. Again, this is an optional way, we strongly recommend to use Q4OS imager, see above

*SOLVED*
There is an option to select "Allow Customization Settings" when writing the img to USB.
I always selected this option to keep my name and password.
Just tried it using the "Clear Settings" option to not use the customization settings.
It boots straight to desktop now.
It always worked with other OS but not with Q4OS for some reason.
