I thought I would have to use the newer kernel but what caught me out was not using the newer xserver driver.
Dell doesn't offer Ubuntu on the Inspiron 15 3000 otherwise I might have gone without windows smile but it is offered on other models. I think they are preparing for the onslaught that surely will come.

Yes I have seen other laptops with this offered but as you can see here it isn't an option. sad

It is odd, if they had offered Linux I would definitely have chosen that  option, I did look when I was buying. smile
