Q4OS on Raspberry Pi

administrator manual

1. Introduction

This guide covers the dedicated port of Q4OS for Raspberry Pi. Q4OS Raspberry Pi port is a free operating system based on Raspberry Pi OS distribution, optimized for the Raspberry Pi family hardware

If you want to install Q4OS on ARM hardware other than Raspberry Pi, we recommend you to follow Q4OS on ARM instructions.

2. Installation

You need to install Q4OS operating system image on your own SD card, so prepare a computer with a SD card writer to install the image. The preferred way for Windows and Q4OS users is to use Q4OS imager.

Optionally create the bootable SD card manually. Q4OS RPi images are available for download from the Unofficial repository. After downloading the compressed file, uncompress it to get the .img image file for writing to your SD card. With the image file you need to use an image writing tool to install it on your SD card.

3. Getting started

Predefined login credentials are as follows:

username: pi
password: raspberry

See the official Raspberry Pi guide. We would also recommend for all to come across the official Raspberry Pi documentation.

Enjoy your Pi and don't forget to join the Raspberry Pi community and Q4OS forum.
