GParted Error Messages

Good Day!
I have started Q4OS Scorpion Live and launched GParted in order to prepare my HDD for further Q4OS installation on it.
However, just after launching GParted, I have got some error messages.
1] https://drive.google.com/open?id=1o30P- … V-uvC_nIm4
2] https://drive.google.com/open?id=1xP0VW … 9_xIFtbe_J - /dev/sdb is a USB flash drive with Q4OS Scorpion image on it. Image was written using dd.
I can not understand, are they indicate something serious, or they can be ignored?

Before asking for help please read this topic: https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3502   If you have problems with WiFi network, try to install the Network Manager using Q4OS Software Centre.

Re: GParted Error Messages

I have had identical messages using gparted when running live.

The thing to remember is that it is looking at the USB key as well as the hard drive and that is where the errors are coming from.

Not a problem - but I always make sure to reboot the live media after making changes to the drive and before installation.

Yes, we can confirm the issue, however you can safely ignore the warnings. We will check for a possible fix, thank you for reporting.

Re: GParted Error Messages

While investigating this issue, we have found out an explanation on the Ubuntu launchpad.net bug tracker:

Most linux distros provide hybrid iso files, which work both to create DVD boot disks and USB boot drives. This means that there will be an iso 9660 file system in the USB drive.
This is not wrong, it is a working system for a live-only drive and installer drive. The problem is that some tools do not understand, what it is, and complain, that is is corrupted. Fortunately there will be a new version of gparted in 17.10, which can recognize such drives.

see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … ug/1708881 for the complete bug report thread. So the Debian Stretch Gparted version doesn't recognize such drives correctly, that should be fixed in a newer Gparted versions.
